■ Koei Tecmo’s Yosuke Hayashi
Q: Will there be a new Ninja Gaiden soon?
A: Although a lot of our staff want to work on one, since we’re working on a variety of projects, we’re not actually going ahead with it. We have a number of ideas, so we’ll tell you when it comes to form.

May or may not be true, but probably they are busy with DOAX3 and Ni-Oh.

I'm not sure what to believe anymore. I really want to play as Ryu Hayabusa again though

It's a shame, but hopefully Ni-oh can fill the void.

I'm not going to hold my breath for NG4. It doesn't seem like they can give us a straight answer.

So they haven't even started working on it yet :/

I am taking this with a grain of salt. I am sure NG4 is in some stage of early development already despite what he says. The main focus though is clearly going to be on Nioh and other projects for the near term. My guess is we still see NG4 sometime in 2017, or early 2018 at the latest. The franchise is just too popular for Koei Tecmo to shelve for too long....
