Hayashi: "Ninja Gaiden is not dead"

Post by kosmos » Thu Aug 13, 2015 1:19 pm

From Spanish videogame site Meristation.
"Lo cierto es que ahora mismo no tenemos planes específicos, pero sabemos que debemos hacer algo con esta propiedad intelectual. Ahora mismo no te puedo decir más, pero no está muerta, la tenemos en mente",
"The truth is right now we don't have any specific plans, but we know we have to do something with this IP. Right now I can't tell you more, but is not dead, we have it on mind,"

Nothing special but I wanted to post something here once in a while :whistle2:

Is this article recent?

'No specific plans' eh? He's either trolling or NG4 is further off than we thought...

So that's holiday 2017 then, or Easter 2018. We'll have Mass Effect before we have NG4.

If that's current news, then I'm honestly not surprised to see that they aren't working on a new NG game right now. Being that they were already confirmed to be developing that Final Fantasy spin-off title several months ago, it makes sense that they would have their hands too full with that to be working on a brand new NG game as well, at least for right now.

"Ninja Gaiden isn't dead, but it's on life support and we've urged relatives to say their goodbyes."

Seriosuly though, I was really hoping that a new game would come sooner rather than later. :(

Its a typical vague response that you would expect. As if they'll reveal any details, they always want to keep you guessing. I hate that. You just have to be patient unfortunately.

In the meantime there's dmc4 se for your hack n slash needs. Its absolutely brilliant.

Agreed it is a vague typical dev answer of "something is happening but we don't have anything to say yet". I am sure NG4 is in some stage of development, but it just means we probably won't see it next year now and need to wait a bit longer (2017 release is my guess).

The signs certainly seem to be pointing towards "Ni-Oh" being the next big game from TN likely next year....Bring on TGS!

2017? I hope it is sooner than that. But, I'll wait longer for a unrushed and polished game.

I don't see the harm in letting the fans know it's coming. They hold all the cards :flame:

On the other hand, they know all too well that there are plenty of people who use the PS4 and XB1 who would love to get their hands on a new Ninja Gaiden game. You just know that something is coming sooner or later. For me, if this game sucks, then NG has lost all hope of being revived imho. I think NG3 has just left so many fans with a bad taste in their mouth. Sure it was redeemed (somewhat) with Razor's Edge, but not nearly enough. It better be damn good.

Probably NG4 will come out in 2017 or 2018. I beat they will release DOA6 in 2017 and NG4 in 2018.

Tom Lee said DOA6 isn't coming for a very long time.

PR men say a lot of things, like the Atlus USA PR guy saying over and over again until recently that Persona 5 was coming in 2015 100% guarantee and boom, summer 2016.

But the difference is that its always been like this with Team Ninja. They always have big gaps between releases.
