NGS2+ Tag Mission i-frame,tag combo system (discussion)

Post by RebornLS » Mon Jul 22, 2013 3:17 am

everything below this I have discovered on my own. Some of which are probably specific to certain enemies or A.I.'s weapon. So feel free to rip me a new one with any corrections. :D I mean these tips to be a catalyst for strategies and not a mandate.

...now I'm gonna pretend to be assertive...

GENERAL TAG TIPS:
IF YOU TRY TO PLAY TURBO TAG MISSIONS; EXPECTING YOUR AI PARTNER TO HELP YOU FIGHT - THEN YOU WILL FAIL.

This is called TAG missions...not TEAM missions and trying to play this like NGS2 is counter productive.

You should:
-stop presuming that i-frames and tricks from NGS2 will work
-know 2 ayanes make a machine gun :P
-2 lunars should mean a tornado of invincibility for the full mission :applause:
-making sure you press :select: as soon as you can
-probably be tagging or in the process of an infinity loop

Start experimenting with:
-tag i-frames
-tag cancels
-tag combos
-tag leniency
-tag UT recoveries
-'sharing' your i-frames with the A.I. partner or 'inheriting' theirs
-the moves you are doing and their relation to the radius of your AI's UT's
-learn how to knock enemies into what would be an other wise whiffed UT
-relearn weapon you are using and re-discover it all over again (sounds cheesy, i know)
-the timing of keeping enemies looped in a state of guard breaks or hits(do this if you are figuring out what to do next)

and most importantly...
get in the habit of pressing  to release a UT charge (not :triangle: )
