Will tidy up formatting later today as got this finished before work. Still need to test some things as on some of the lower difficulties I noticed chests that contain a LOTTG on Mentor of MN only had essence in them. Wondering if they intentionally give you more life upgrades on the higher modes to deal with the higher damage output of the enemies. Apart from that though the items seem to be the same across all difficulties including the Test of Valors so this was a lot easier to put together than NGBs.

Still have no idea how the ghost fish/bats/essence chests work, as far as I can tell it's just random but I'm not sure yet. They might be chests I've missed but will add them as I go through the modes again. If anyone knows of any that aren't in the list let me know.

Thanks Farnham, this is far from done with just wanted to get the base up with the hopes someone had better info

Do you happen to know which items get swapped on depending on difficulty? I noticed on that Acolyte run I did last week that I got two fewer LOTTG than on Master Ninja despite going for every item location I knew about. Is it just the bat/fish chests that are different on lower modes?

I have descriptions for all the ones I found so hopefully that can narrow down some things. Updated the OP with new info you posted, will tidy it up once we have a full list.

its been ages since i last played lower difficulties, but i can say that most (if not all) of the fish/bat chests are different, the one before the lunar in ch 1 is red orbs f.e. or the first chest in 13 near the door at the save spot is also red orbs on lower diff... about the less LotG, if u couldn't buy them in the next chapter, there weren't any... but i noticed u forgot a lot of chests and corpses, so maybe that's it... also, about the healing items in chests i am not sure about, u can tell whats inside by the amount of health u get from the orbs (or the amount of money u get), in case u have that on video. the only 2 chests that always have blue orbs are the first one in ch 1 and chest 5 in ch 9 (i think those are the only ones....)
oh and yes, bat/fish chests are always random, the only chest that has always yellow is the one before muramasa in Ch 1. i think all the other ones are random.
other than that, this is all the information i have ;-)
seems like u got a lot of work still ahead of ya... but this is great that you are doing this, cause it was on my tutorial list as well, now i can relax on that front and concentrate on something else ! keep up the good work!

Added save and Muramasa statues to make it a bit easier to process where the chests are, and a few notes on items. If you're going to go back and check Ninpo chests it would be worth noting how many ninpo they give you as well, some give you 3, some give you 5, and one of them gives you 7. I can't remember which is which exactly unfortunately, nor can I remember some of the "not sure" items :P

oooohhh this is beginning to look REALLY nice... one quick thing i noticed: chest 2 in CH 14 is not grains, its fish/yellow... (i assume this is the chest at the save in front of the big black door) other than that, damn d_Nought, nice work!

Ah thanks for pointing that out, must have been my memory playing tricks on me.

Then again, I have seen glitchy shit like this before, where I got a herb out of a dead guy who's supposed to give you a Life of the Gods. Which then popped up in the Muramasa shop next chapter.

Thanks for the info d_Nought. Makes finalising things much easier. I really like the colours too, makes it easy to notice things like ninpo, health etc. Will do another update after more testing this week.

Went a did a runthrough of chapter 1 on Warrior to get a baseline, did some testing for new game plus as well as that deos seem to change some pick ups. One thing at a time though. I really liked the idea of colour coding the pick ups too. Covered everything from saves statues, weapons and scrolls and will include crystal skulls as well. Might as well do it all

This is the layout I am thinking of. Still a lot to do as having everything mapped for every difficulty would be great for speed run planning (main reason I started working on this) so will likely stream this whenever I can to make it a bit less boring.
