Basic Multipliers are below:

OT = x2
ET = x3
UT = x7

Combo Multipliers - Very much in the testing phase for this still. Getting the high combo counts with OT's as the finisher after a UT can be very tricky. If anyone has numbers for these please post them :biggrin:

Without OT/ET/UT

20-29 hits - x3.5
30-39 hits - x4.5
40-49 hits - x5
50-59 hits -
60-69 hits -

With OT only - Meaning your final hit on the enemy is the OT but the OT hits end your combo within the counters below. For example, 24 hit combo plus a 3 hit OT move would be 27 hits in total

20-29 hits - x4.5
30-39 hits - x5
40-49 hits - 6
50 or more - 7

With ET Only - Same breakdown as OT above

20-29 hits - x5
30-39 hits - x6.5
40-49 hits -
50-59 hits -
60-69 hits -

With UT only - Same breakdown as OT above

20-29 hits - x9
30-39 hits - 10 or 10.5 - Some enemies seem to round up their essence. More testing needed on this one.
40-49 hits - x11
50 or more - x12

Interesting post, thank you! Pretty interesting to see that last bit. Would mean that doing single-target kills with the Flails UT could be the way to gain massive essence thanks to the 12x multiplier. Or by just avoiding kill strokes through spamming shurikens to get the 50x combo and then do a charge (do you have enough time to do a full charge before the combo counter resets?). Cheers!

I have noticed your combo stays active for much longer off a UT. Sometimes you have time to charge a full UT inbetween so you can build up a high combo really quickly.

The upcoming run me and Al are doing commentary for shows this in a few spots. The amount of money you can get just by keeping your chain going and collecting the excess essence is unreal. Without any real farming I finished the run with almost 1 million in essence and purchasing everything at Murumasa. I didn't really go for essence much in the later chapters as there really was no need.

Using shurikens on enemies in between UTs is an amazing way to build combos too. Two UTs with shurikens inbetween normally puts you close to the 50 mark where you'll start netting the x12 multiplier.

Of all the challenges I've done in this game I never really bothered to look into Essence so this is fantastic. Might be worth abusing should i ever restart my 0-save run per chapter. Thanks for putting this together :)

Updated thread with the missing OT multipliers, seems like these top out at x7 on just OTs. Also added the regular grey ninja and fiend mage values.
