A little help here

Post by julius-ruler4 » Fri Feb 27, 2015 12:19 pm

I recently played NG2 again and I currently will start CH10 with almost 30million. I know I could score higher but I wonder this: What are the expectable scores on each difficulty?

Also, how many 1-hit KG UT's do those eels take before dying?
Also ,is control over Ryu essential for a KR on NG2?
And should I upgrade the ES to LVL3 or keep it at LVL2?
Also, at which chapter does your DS needs to be LVL3?

Thanks in advance

Karma running the lower difficulties wasn't done that much from what I remember, due to the removal of time limits it only really made sense to do MN in a lot of ways.

1. A LOT. Can't remember exactly but I think you can get 400k from a single eel on MN with the KG. It takes hours though.
2. Good control of Ryu is very important for encounters where you're not doing much farming, ninjas for example. Other than that it's more about spacing out your 1 hit UT's so it still plays a pretty big part.
3. Might as well up it to level 3, its UT remains the same regardless of level in terms of strength.
4. Minimum chapter 2.

The one thing you're going to need on an NG2 karma run is patience, there is a huge amount of just raw single hit UT farming segments for hours on end.

Good luck :thumb:

Thanks, I just want to let you know I haven't started Mentor difficulty yet and I intent to complete MN without trying to get a too high score, but it is doable to get 20 million since these guys on MN are a pain in the ass.

My main goal for MN when I start it again is to make sure I can get at least 75 million points, and I'll record the run with my DVD-recorder (I'll improve the quality later when I have the DVD's done, up to 720p).

With the control it is essentially the same to make sure you can dash-angle-jump so that the enemy attacks whiff, isn't it? I know it is easier to do in NGB, although NG2 it is a bit harder due to the enemy AI and their exploits. In Sigma my control is completely mastered, thanks to you JTB.

Are you going to be doing this and your NGS videos at the same time?

NG2 will be done later

NGS has priority now, but instead of SM KR, I'll be doing the Weapon Master Survivals

EDIT: add me on skype "julius-ruler4"

Yes. And I do not intent to show the complete farming but then you get an idea on how to position yourself and wittness the control over Ryu I posess. All thanks to JTB and his movement tutorial.

Not sure about lower difficulties but for a straight up MN run with no fight or TOV skipping you should expect somewhere around the 45/50 million mark.

Also, how many 1-hit KG UT's do those eels take before dying?

Shitloads, expect to spend hours and hours on end farming both the eels and cannon fiends.

Also, is control over Ryu essential for a KR on NG2?

Absolutely, for 1 hit KG farming you need to maintain a little over 1 dash, 2 jump distance to be most effective and adjust it accordingly as most enemies will be delimbed and moving towards you.

And should I upgrade the ES to LVL3 or keep it at LVL2?
Also, at which chapter does your DS needs to be LVL3?

Upgrade weapons at your own pace and skill really, the only things I go for early are Lv2 DS, Lv2 Claws for their >Y delimb and Lv2 Wind Blades. Everything else I tend to upgrade based on the TOV's. Good luck.

Thanks Shigurui

With control over Ryu I meant that you need to do a "dash-angle-jump" or not?

Not entirely sure what you mean by dash-angle jump, could you elaborate?

I think he means dashing, then jumping at a different angle from the dash.

That can be helpful, but the whole point is to land a the perfect distance to give you a 1 hit KG UT.

Ah, I see. You may need to angle yourself differently on occasions if your target is up or down steps perhaps but for the most part you want to be head on at the optimal distance.

sort of, however I do mean more like a directional jump like in JTB's movement tutorial on NGB.
