Karma run work in progress (Chapter 5 complete)

Tuesday I'll continue the run. Cuz tomorrow my family is gone to the hospital and someone needs to stay with the dogs, though tonight I will attempt to get my required 300k. I would be happy with 295k though but it will not be easy.

thing is, I tried to contact Team Ninja and they don't allow their customers to contact them. I would really love to see that goddamn UT bug patched. In hindsight, I think Hayashi implemented this on purpose to ruin karma runners.

Patch the next things Hayashi:

- Wrong inputs
- UT bug
- Chapter 3 time limit to 23 minutes
- Chapter 6, fight before Hydracubus
- Chapter 6 kill requirement to 55 or less
- Chapter 16 Awakened Alma fight
- Chapter 17 time limit to 14 minutes
- Reduce AI agressiveness
- Chapter 18 Vigoor Emperor first form
- Total time limit for hard to 7 hours and 30 minutes
- Clean out the leaderboards
- Remove off-screen attack from berserkers
- Allow blocking berserkers first hit only with "Armlet of the Moon"

If someone can get in touch with Team Ninja and tell them to finally patch these things I would be happy

SO, as of today I tried to do the (sorry for bad words) FUCKING Fiend Challenge. Every time, when it finally goes well, a soldier decides to say "No successful run for you". I sometimes get throat sliced because Ryu doesn't move when I command him to roll, or the enemies seem to be able to counter my ->Y.

First: UT bug consistently occurs in my game, which destroys a very good run.
Second: When I drop a smoke bomb on the right distance, the enemies seem to walk backwards to me or when they are running they keep following me, even when they are stunned from the drop. Either way, the smoke bombs need polishing.
Third: When I do Backflip, ->Y, it consistently registers as a 360Y or -> HOLD Y.

I just can't continue like this. I need an explanation now. Because I played this game for karma years ago too (had 20M at the end of it) the AI was not as nearly as aggressive.

So I let someone take a look at the console and controller. Both new, it already has some faulty stuff with it. I said I want 300k out of that challenge, but it seems I must always content myself with less. I'm not Going to the next fight with less then 300k

Little update:

I finally managed to complete the 60 soldier challenge with a score of 293,200 points. I said to my brother that I'll accept a 3% loss compared to 300k, only lost appr 2.26%

I'm ready to do the final gauntlet before Dynamo and it is going to be a pain to pull it of the way I desire.

Extra note: my recording device only records in 1080p30 and 720p30. so sorry for this "sh4tty quality. If I complete this chapter, i'll start breaking down chapter 4 from JTB's run to see what a potential score can be.

To be honest, I was trying a few things here and there and it took me so long cuz other things like work and GTA online distracted me a bit from the horrible stress Chapter 3 gave me

But I got the chapter highscore and I am super happy for it, even if it is only 168 points more then the previous record

EDIT: I redid the last gauntlet before Dynamo and I have to say I am very pleased with it because I almost scored 5k higher

I started chapter 4 last night and the first fight was a huge success. I scored 2 UTs on three enemies.

My goal is this for the next gauntlet
Fight 2: 2 UTs
Fight 3: 3 UTs
Fight 4: 2 UTs
Fight 5: 1 UT
Fight 6: 2 UTs

I thoroughly analysed several videos of this and came to the conclusion that is will take several retries to get right

Kelll, I have a question for you. When you did your chapter 4 karma run, did you postpone several fights for chapter 6? Because your chapter 4 score is only 635k, so I assume you postponed 2 fights till chapter 6 to get your 870k

Good news, I progressed quite a lot and got that damn 5-fight-gauntlet out of the way

Here is what I scored so far:
F1: 2 UT's
F2: 3 UT's
F3: 2 UT's
F4: 1 UT
F5: 1 UT + 1 ET

I am really pleased though I would have loved to get 2 UT's out of that last fight of that gauntlet. But no matter, no matter, I got quite the aheadance of my old score

Good news, I progressed a lot more since yesterday. I managed to get this out of the next few fights:

Muramasa fight: 3UTs
Clocktower entrance: 1UT
Clocktower itself: 2UTs + 1ET
second Muramasa fight: 2UTs
Great bridge wallflip fight: 2UTs
Great bridge square: 3UT's

This puts me on a total of 285,130 points scored so far

My next goal is to get this:

Great bridge teleporter fight: 3UTs
Pleasure street BSN fight: 3UTs
Bike fight: 4UTs + additional ETs

Bad news, I have to redo all of chapter 4 except the first fight because 1, I failed the chapter time limit, 2, my recordings were corrupted whilst exporting

Probably sound like a broken record at this point but are you doing mock runs to map out your route so you know you have enough time? Odds are on a karma run you are doing to be running every fight down to the last second, so do the chapter before hand in one go with the pattern you have in mind and then once you get your clear time add any left over time from the fights. You defintiely don't want to get to the end of chapters 7,9 etc and come up short on time.

Just doing everything right but the fight that has 2 enemies on seperate balconies seems to be triggered even without looking at them. Why has this happened to me consistently. I need a reply ASAP.
My goal is to get a UT out of that fight but for some reason, even not lokking seems to run the timer. Explanation required.

For info: it is the fight you would do with the bow only.

Been ages since I did chapter 4 but from what I remember you have to never look at the enemy on the balcony across from the blue wire. If you kill him off screen the time won't show up and you can UT the other guy, you will lose the credit for that kill but the UT is worth more overall. Might just need to fine tune the angle you're approaching from. If you keep all the way to the left I don't think the time will come up, Kell and Koduck have shown this in their videos so try and replicate their angles and you should be fine.

Ok, I need a HUGE explanation for this.

No matter what I do, what I try, what angle I approach, the FUCKING TIMER seems to start even when my enemies are off screen for me. I'm losing my mind and even postponing the fight seems to give me 0 for kills, time and combo. I need an explanation RIGHT FUCKING NOW
