Note: The scarabs in red mean that they can be missed if you don't get them in their relative chapter, all other chapter notations are simply the earliest point in the game that they become obtainable.

Chapter 3

Scarab 1: Captains room, on the window ledge
Scarab 2: storage room at the end of the first hallway
Scarab 3: flip up off the crates after the fight at the top of the staircase before dynamo

Chapter 4:

Scarab 4: turn left through the green door room, in the fountain
Scarab 5: before the lever that opens the hans bar area door, on the floor infront the dead ninja
Scarab 6: in the corner down from the xbox machine near hans bar

Chapter 5:

Scarab 7: on a ledge opposite the pegasus key box
Scarab 8: next to the save statue after the ninja fight after crossing the draw bridge
Scarab 9: in an alcove after turning right at the above save statue, just before the box

Chapter 6:

Scarab 10: top floor of archive at the end of walkway
Scarab 11: next to the incendiary shuriken display case 6
Scarab 12: as you face the window Alma breaks through, on the left hand side balcony at the top of pillar walkways
Scarab 13: after dropping down from the altar, directly in front of you near the wall
Scarab 14: in the room before the save statue before going into the zombie gauntlet, flip off the wall in the alcove
Scarab 15: tomb of the eons, right hand side on the floor

Chapter 7:

Scarab 16: to the right of the cracked wall with the dead bone dragon
Scarab 17: turn right as soon as you enter the suspension bridge room
Scarab 18: blue eye room, underneath the archers platform
Scarab 19: infront of the elevator underwater

Chapter 8:

Scarab 20: to the right of the skull key door
Scarab 21: same room as 20, flip up the wall onto the second platform, wall run across to get it

Chapter 9:

Scarab 22: turn left out of the tunnel that has the first fight in it
Scarab 23: warehouse, on top of the second train car to your right
Scarab 24: warehouse, on the roof of the key card room
Scarab 25: just outside the entrance to the radio tower fight

Chapter 10:

Scarab 26: red tablet room, opposite the box
Scarab 27: blue tablet room, bottom of the pool
Scarab 28: after killing the first electric worm, wall flip up the ledge afterwards
Scarab 29: hall of balace, left hand side walkway opposite the red tabler item box
Scarab 30: underground waterway, turn left just before going into the double electric worm fight
Scarab 31: behind the left worm in the doulbe worm fight
Scarab 32: flying bird flip all the way up to top of the two pillars as you turn right, on top of the left pillar
Scarab 33: paz zuu arena, in the bottom left corner of the broken staircase room with the arrow filled ninja
Scarab 34: behind the save statue were you get the brand of valor

Chapter 11:

Scarab 35: under water in the gap in the fence before the gold medallion box
Scarab 36: after the first murumasa, on top on the tunnel entrance
Scarab 37: turn right after coming out of the tunnel that brings you into the large area before the sunken ship
Scarab 38: on the right next to the air tank inside the sunken ship
Scarab 39: swim all the way to the top of the room where you get the wolf deity, attached to the wall

Chapter 12:

Scarab 40: turn left before pulling the lever to lower the stadium platforms
Scarab 41: stand of the bottom right platform, wall run across the corner and land of the archway over the stadium entrance to get the scarab
Scarab 42: turn left after reaching the top of the platform section, at the end of walkway
Scarab 43: break the first large stone head near the save statue after the staircase fiend challenge
Scarab 44: at the bottom of the pool before the caverns entrance
Scarab 45: on the platform behind the iron ore pot
Scarab 46: on the floor right next to the save statue before the yotunfrau fight
Scarab 47: turn left after the first fire breathing statue before the flame worm fight

Chapter 14:

Scarab 48: turn left after going through the lion door, at the very end of the pathway
Scarab 49: on the way to the lioness key, in the middle of the floor before the ghost fish encounter

Chapter 15:

Scarab 50: after the second floor, stand at the right of the skull, wall run flip Y with the dragon sword to the walkway, at the end is the scarab

Great to have this. We should make a sticky of some of the old guides and charts we had. I have the kill and time charts for levels of NGB and NGS.

Actually some of the scarabs can be missed in CH7 if you don't pick them up because once that area is flooded, you can't go back.

No worries man How is the vita version by the way? I've had a vita for a while and been thinking about picking it up but I've heard the frame rate is really bad... How does it play?

It's spot on mate, no problems with frame rate whatsoever. It looks and plays great, few camera niggles here and there but it copes pretty well on a tiny screen. The only problem is using the bow in first person view as it uses the touch screen and you have to tilt the vita to aim, it's really sensitive, good thing is Ryu can jump and fire it in this version. Just finished the tank/heli battle and it locks on pretty well so it made it a breeze. Just taking a 5 min break before I get pummeled with rockets trying to destroy the tower in first person view

Oh god that sounds bad, is there no way to customise the controls? I think I'll still pick it up though, being able to play NG on the move is too good to pass up. My main concerns were with the frame rate and if that's fine then I can make do with some tacky bow controls lol Thanks man.

There is a screen/button option for the bow but I'm damned if I can find FP mode without using the screen and I have it set to button, I might just be dumb though frame wise it's obviously not like NGB on Xbox as it's 30fps but it's rock solid at that and never drops, after 5 minutes you'll feel right at home with it.

Tap the screen so it goes into first person bow mode then you can use the left stick to aim but the gyroscope still functions so best to hold still. When you want to exit bow mode just hit X, square, triangle or the little [X] in the bottom right of the screen.

Thanks Massaca, I'll have a mess about with it later, can't believe how bad gyro aiming is on it, why the hell you can't disable it fully is beyond me

Yep got it, much better but yeah if you move too much the gyro takes over. Wish I'd known before the tower, that sucked up a lot of healing items using the screen aim

What are the scarab changes in NGS, I only found 49 lol
