Use this one weird tip to make NGB easier, JTB hates it!

Duped spirit of the devils. Well, not really duping but you get the meaning.

Press L+R triggers after selecting spirit of the devils. Hold a brief amount of time (like 2-2.133 sec). Press A to use the upgrade then immediately mash B to cancel out of the menu. Pressing A makes the game trigger the use animation on the spirit of the devils but due to a bug the game will attempt to scroll thru the menus from the triggers being held. B exits the menu before the game deletes the Spirit of the Devils item from your inventory.

So far I haven't found a consistent method of making this work. Extremely finnicky.

In this clip, I dupe it once. Then I don't fully execute the trick completely and finally fail consuming the item.

PS: Came as a vague rumour from a Firdaus Juraimi in a youtube comment from one of jtb's videos.

I can confirm I actually think this is kind of awesome

If this could be replicated consistently then this could have huge implications for speed runs I would think, in particular normal where ninpo use is extremely powerful in the early game due to the upgrade in chapter 4.

Could also have some implications for karma running but that's where I'd say it'd too close to cheating. For instance having 10 ninpos an Emp 2 would be insane.

Did you happen to test if a great devil exlier refills more than 5 empty slots?

great devil elixirs refill 5 ninpo slots. But you start a chapter with a fully filled ninpo bar. The karma bonus is still normal at 100k.

If a vague rumour like this turned to be true, that means it's still possible to run underwater or jump the gates in ch10

Someone just needs to replicate a very specific set of conditions to prove them though

I can't find the comment but he said he accidentally glitched his ninpo from the menu while holding trigger. Turns out it was holding both triggers for a certain set of time then press A. I was monkeying around offstream while watching twitch streams. I often do this in the slim hopes of finding a chapter skip

Since a lot of tech transfers from NGB to NG2, I wonder if this would transfer over too. Wouldn't be surprised. I'm not at home to test it right now though, any takers? Same with the Sigma versions.
