I cannot wait for chapter 3 video. What surprised me is that after so many years this game also still shines even though it was released in 2004. The real surprise was that you can get 37 million even if it was considered impossible by some people over on an old forum where I was a member from.
What people should do is allow players to start a new HP1 game or even do a successive play on it. It would make the game even more attractive right now as the newer players get to know the game itself.
JTB, how many points did you come short of 37 milion? Because I thought Balbaid's score could not be beaten after his Karma Run because he was the only person to score over 36 million on HP1.
Off-topic: who was the person who scored the highest on HP2 and can that score still be beaten?
I was just under 68k off from 37 million, after this run was done I went back through HP1 to put together the end clear times and kills though and found an amazing strategy for Emp2 which would easily push me past 37 million on another run which I'm really temtped to do. I redid chapter 1 and am already 13k ahead.
Balbaid and Bigaslki's runs helped me immensely on this run, but the more I'm digging into it the more I am realising how different karma running is on the HP1 system. Ony my run up until about chapter 7 I was thinking like it was NGB for the most part and not drawing much from my knowledge of the combat system. I found a brilliant strategy for Mages for example which stems from a little thing I have always known about their teleport and the nunchuks.
The odds of me doing another run are pretty high, in some ways this run was the ultimate mock run and I now know where I can improve and how to approach the fights. It's just such a shame more people can't experience the hurricane packs, they are so much fun and intercept is fantastic.
I think Captain Tuttle had the highest score for HP2 but I'm not sure, Bigalski might know. It kills me not having a save for HP2 on my X-Box.
