Lack of enemies helping him most likely. In NG2 you had 4 or 6 IS ninja running round with him.
Edit: and yeah, I hated not having my karma window and the kill count, used that to keep track all the time :(

Re: The Quest for Platinum

I'm not going to use any herbs. I hope I don't regret that decision. :scared: You probably won't. The biggest damager is grab attacks so just avoid those  (easier said than done). TBH, I had no real issues with Mentor (or MN) apart from Momoji and Rachel's chapters and have 0 advice for those...

Re: MN Dual Katana Run

Have you tried XYYY on the Lycans? Other than that I've got no idea, hate fighting them with the DCTF/BotA. I barely remember much of NG2 now as it's been a long time since I've played it but running around the edge and not attacking the Lycans keeps them and the dogs from being aggressive, so you c...

Re: Yeah, so I probably won't ever finish this game >_>

The Ai is bad because you're not on Mentor/MN. Ch.09 is considered the worst chapter in the game, and I agree but try to hold in (and max out the void ninpo  ) As for keeping up with what's going on, turn your camera up to max speed (personally I have mine about 3 touches below max and it's pe...

Re: Projectile Run

Hey mate, welcome to the Archives. I think the biggest problem with that strategy against Fiend Genshin is his teleport move. You would need distance for it to work and he'd just teleport and go FS you every time you jump. Still, would be worth trying. Might give it a go later, I'm pretty sure you c...

Re: MN Dual Katana Run

YYYY is the easiest and, IMO, most reliable way to kill him. X [hold] Y as Reim mentioned also works but it takes a long time to kill him.

Re: Indomitable Spirit

According to my achievement list it was somewhere on my KG acolyte run, that was my 6th or 7th playthrough of acolyte but I hadn't even tried warrior at that point. Back then I wasn't interested in difficulty *shrug*

Re: Survival Missions

Oh so that's what happened. Sorry man. Hate to bring bad news but judging from the 360 board at GFAQs this has been happening to a fair amount of people and MS either can't or isn't doing much about it to get people their accounts back. Some guys have been waiting several months but MS seems unable ...

Anyone know a way to reliably freeze Genshin?

Need some clean high res pics of the BotA and I figure freezing Genshin is the best way to get them. So, anyone know if there's a specific way?

Re: MN Kusari-gama run completed!

Wow, that's pretty damn good  VF are really fun weapons to use but a couple of the ToV's are gunna be nightmarish, specifically ToV 6 & 9 (they both have the red dragons). I've been meaning to do a FV run for a little over a year now, but things keep getting in the way, like my Scythe run. I d...

Re: Prepatch karma score

IMO exploiting any glitch in order to gain extra Karma is cheating, be it using the jellyfish or otherwise.

It's definitely possible to get 60 mill at 4000 kills, KG farming would be necessary though, which takes time.

Re: Projectile Run

No prob. As for getting to Fiend Genshin, Blunderhawk recorded a run from start to that point where he used melee attacks to break the sacks but didn't hit the enemies inside however since he had all the achievements already, as far as I know, it remains unknown if that voids the run. Best to keep a...

Re: Projectile Run

Hmm, seems I was wrong on all accounts. Tried arrow UT's, IS, IS UT's, WS, WS UT's and Ninpo. Nothing broke them open, they made blood come out of them, but no damage.

Guess that's as far as you can go.

Re: Projectile Run

I don't know for sure but I think you can break them with arrow UT's. If not, an IS might do it since they can break walls down.

I have a save at the beginning of Ch.13 on Mentor or MN so I'll run through real quick a bit later if no one has given a definitive answer.

Re: Question about Manul vs Auto Save

Yes but since no weapons are being used until chapter 13 or 14, having a save there allows you to just do the last 1/2 chapter/s over with each weapon rather than playing through the entire game thus saving time.

Personally I dislike the concept but to each their own.

Re: Question about Manul vs Auto Save

No achievement for it. Generally people do it so that they can save in chapter 13 or 14 and only have to do the 1/2 chapter/s for each weapon rather than a whole run.

Re: Question about Manul vs Auto Save

I think you just switch the setting back to auto before going to the load game screen. Actually you can switch it at the load screen. Hitokiri Battousai, I assume you're doing this for achievements, are you using the auto save for successive play runs or are you starting new game + runs on the auto...
