Re: NG2 is insane (in a fun way)

Great vid, cheers for the giga clip :facepalm2: Man I really hope NG2 gets on the back compat list for XBO one day. Watching that reminded me how much I miss not being able to play it anymore.

Re: All things considered, what do you think about NG's stor

Yeah, I know it's easy to be cynical towards Ninja Gaiden's story and say "I don't care about plot, just give me stuff to kill", but games like Devil May Cry and Bayonetta have been able to have a decent plot that adds to the action. Why can't Ninja Gaiden? Thing is I'm not being cynical, that's ho...

Re: All things considered, what do you think about NG's stor

NG has story? ... Heh, I like the way it was mainly lore based via reading in NG/B/2, if you wanted it you could read the books and scrolls for a bit more depth but it was summarised in load screens if you didn't much care for it, I'm in the latter camp. I have a basic grasp of it but really couldn'...

Re: Ninja Gaiden 4 Discussion

The AI in NGB is credited to Kotaro Hosogay, Hiroyuki Sadamatsu and Masaki Toyoda. Hayashi was project planner. Totally agree with you on his use of other characters in the games, especially Momiji in Sigma 2, 'hey, here's a character and weapon you've never used, enjoy the fixed camera twin Tengu g...

Re: Ninja Gaiden 4 Discussion

The problem with Hayashi (IMO) is he knows fuckall about gaming, he's a bean counter that inexplicably ended up as head of TN. People wrongly credit him as an AI programmer on NG where his actual job was financial planning. He proved his ineptitude as a game director with his interpretations of Blac...

Re: Ninja Gaiden 4 Discussion

I wonder what is the current role of Yosuke Hayashi in Nioh and what will be in NG4. He was a programmer in old NG games, so he could be the same in Nioh, and it'll probably be director in NG4. Opinions? Hopefully Tecmo give him back his old job as tea boy. He's fucking useless at anything game rel...

Re: Self-imposed/Restricted Runs

I'd do another MN KR if I could get my MN saves onto my 360, they're on one of those proprietary MS USB cards that had a game pre-installed on them and they stopped production of consoles with that port a long time ago. At the time only myself and JAH were doing serious NG2 KR's, I left a lot of sco...

Watching that just reminds me how utterly shit Razors Edge is in comparison, doubt we'll ever see another good NG game.

Re: Not another Hard KR, Julius?

but if you've played NG3 to death already, then I guess there's not a great deal more to experience other than the extra characters. I'd have to disagree with that, although RE is just NG3 in a posh frock it's a much better game overall than that fucking travesty of a game. Varied weapons and Ninpo...

Re: A little help here

Ah, I see. You may need to angle yourself differently on occasions if your target is up or down steps perhaps but for the most part you want to be head on at the optimal distance.

Re: A little help here

I recently played NG2 again and I currently will start CH10 with almost 30million. I know I could score higher but I wonder this: What are the expectable scores on each difficulty? Not sure about lower difficulties but for a straight up MN run with no fight or TOV skipping you should expect somewhe...

Re: Playin' through this

The DLC is just harder in general, the 4 difficulties feel raised. Mentor is more like MN and MN is turned up to 11. Getting the 250gs from the DLC was harder than the original 1000, for me anyway.

Re: Playin' through this

First off now I can say without doubt that enemies are starting to spam projectiles like there is no tomorrow. Doesn't help that almost every wave of enemies has a rocket launcher ninja. They have some very assholish points to respawn. In the battle before you enter the big building they respawn in...

Master of Missions is for beating all DLC missions on MN difficulty. It's worth a whopping 20GS. :awesome:

Just a bit special, better get real good at i-frame abuse! Unlike this guy, on Mentor :laugh2:

Re: Any tips for Mission 14 MN and the last wave?

It's ages since I played it but you can thin out the marionettes with WS UT's, it's a one hit kill as long as they aren't rotating their bodies, take out the rocket mechs asap, always wind path off the Gallas to stun them before your Scythe XXY, if you've got the balls you can destroy them with Tonf...

Re: Is there a story mode karma run on video?

As above, the NC needs to be viewed in the same aspect as the original, more modern TV's have a fit picture to screen setting which will override true 16:9, check your settings. As for IS Ninja UT farming, yes it can be done, I did loads on my K-Run, you leg delimb then stun them with a single Shuri...

Re: Is there a story mode karma run on video?

Yeah, real fish fingers, shampoo, car insurance and loads more useless adverts. Usually flash ads with the volume ramped up to 11. Man I hate their advertising BS :flame: but it has led to me trading all my 360 stuff in for a WiiU, so something good came from it! I've always found PSN to be as good ...
